Led the design, development, and implementation of the Starwood Self-Serve
Kiosk. Included interfacing with IBM and Galaxy Hotel Systems to design
the Common Use Self Service-compatible platform and subsequent
CUSS-compliant applications.
. Led the design of a cost-effective secure network to extend kiosks
wirelessly through the use of existing assets.
. Developed a comprehensive deployment strategy for IBM to manage
kiosk operations in the field; also negotiated and executed all aspects of
IBM support for the Starwood kiosk initiative.
. Designed and built a technology solution to allow customers to use
a public internet terminal with television, allowing for an advertising
partnership with Yahoo.
. Reduced spending and unnecessary overhead by designing and
deploying a simple-to-use front desk touch-screen system that will replace
all paper collateral at a single Starwood brand, saving $1.5M per year.
. Served as lead technical resource on a committee to contract with
the sole in-room entertainment provider. Position included determining
the technical viability and cost of each proposed solution as it pertained
to a revenue-share model and ultimately saved $3.3M per year by
redesigning technical aspects of the provider's delivery system.

conversion, and the implementation of a paperless office.

conversion of an antiquated office environment and digitized all
operations, including bringing print production and document management
in-house.
Also responsible for the adoption
of anywhere, anytime. practices, whereby employees and
clients could work seamlessly and efficiently from any
location; this led to the availability of live revisions and
modeling to our field personnel. Further responsible for
negotiating outsource agreements with several
telecommunications vendors, including one multi-million
dollar contract to converge voice and data networks,
